White County Citizens' Law Enforcement Academy

Class 001

Our application process for our 2024 Citizens Law Enforcement Academy class is now closed. Please check back often for additional community outreach programs.

The White County Sheriff’s Office Citizens’ Law Enforcement Academy is a free 6 week course that meets from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on consecutive Mondays (some classes may release after 8) starting Monday, March 25th and concluding on Monday, April 29th.

The Academy is open to all White County residents, employees, and business owners age 21 and over.

The Academy provides students with hands-on training and law enforcement knowledge in a friendly environment.

The course is run by the White County Sheriff’s Office and all instructors in this program are White County Sheriff’s Office employees.   Topics include Constitutional law, conducting traffic stops, judgmental use of force, K9 and S.W.A.T. demonstrations, ride-along with deputies and much, much more.

Still have questions? Contact course coordinator Megan Bennett at 706-865-5177, or by email at mbennett@whitecounty.net.

Our goal is to build a closer bond with the citizens and business owners of White County through communication and education.
