White County Junior Law Enforcement Academy

The White County Junior Law Enforcement Academy (WCJLEA) is an annual day camp for up-coming White County 4th, 5th and 6th graders (or those in equivelant distance learning or homeschool programs). During camp, the cadets will learn about many aspect that go along with a career in law enforcement. From traffic stops and calls for service to firearm safety (airsoft) and crime scene investigation, cadets will be given instruction by local law enforcement officers who serve this community on a daily basis. In the past, cadets were also visited by the GBI Bomb Disposal Unit, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Helicopter, and the always fun hose off from the Cleveland Fire Department.
